About the author

Summerita Rhayne loves to read fiction in all genres but especially romance. When she’s absorbed in writing and reading romance, she becomes temporarily deaf! She loves to write hot, sensual heroes who are sometimes masterful and have to be tamed by sassy but sweet heroines. She loves characters who learn and grow and carve their way out of their troubles and emotional hang-ups. She also believes that a touch of humor never goes amiss in a book. She divides her time between family, job and writing – and loves music, movies and internet!

Me thinks

Would you be interested in reading a passionate and romantic novel? Is what the author asked me. The romance lover in me was already dancing reading the words passionate and romantic novel. Before she could say anything further I nodded my head to say a yes. Lo& Behold! The book was mine to review.

As you might have guessed by the name itself it is a story of hidden feelings where you are unsure of expressing them and how it all creates more confusion for you before you finally gather the courage to confess your feelings only to see that the other person was aware all this while and was actually waiting for you to say it first.

The story set in a period when the kings and the queens ruled our country. To write a period drama, the first thing that you need is a good amount of research and that is where the author scores a brownie point. The book is well researched so to speak, moreover the plot though cliché and oft repeated one has a unique freshness to it owing to the breezy narration. Just a little tighter editing would have added more grace to it.

There were many parts in the book where I reacted much more than a reader for the story had me involved in it till that extent where it began to feel as if I am a part of it, and all of it is getting unfolded before my eyes. I loved the way the author has played with characters and used emotions so heavily to depict love and romance. I like the fact that jealousy, lust, love, hatred, hurt, anger and insecurity all have been portrayed so beautifully adding a mystic charm to the narration.

A recommended read for romance lovers, this is one you will enjoy to the core.

Foodie Verdict
