Giveaway : Time's Lost Atlas

I have always spoken about how this project is very close to my heart for various reasons. One it being my first story, second it getting published and of course as a reader also this is a very wonderful book to actually read. I am not saying this because I am a part of it. I am reviewer apart from being a writer and I am very proud to be a part of such an interesting concept which is so unique in more than one ways.

About Time's Lost Atlas:

Time's Lost Atlas is a very unique project where 11 authors have come together to write about 11 events that happened in the decade from 2001-2011 which changed the way we saw the world around us. With their stories they will take you back in time when all those events happened making you see them in a newer light, bringing back memories of those times to you and leaving you feeling nostalgic

  2. Hi Namrata!

    How're you?

Reading is an absolute pleasure, and it'd be interesting to read a book that carries YOUR story!!

Apart from this flattering, I would like to say :

We, the people, tend to move away. Many incidents touch our hearts, we gape in exclamation, we express our opinions, we even remember it for a short time span (Sometimes, just ignore) but, being so much engrossed in our own life and priorities we just move ahead and forget about many important events that have significant impact on the world.

I think, this book could be an interesting way to look back! To recall what had influenced several lives. To realize what we missed!

  3. I want to read this book primarily because my friend Namrata's is featured in this book. We are always on the move that we seldom stop and reminiscence the bygone days. When we look back, we look back with longing...nostalgia makes us a bit sad though we smile at the memoires.

  4. I'd love to read your book.. There are several reasons for this 1. I am curious about the historic milestones that all of you have chosen to base you stories around 2. Writing short stories is so much more difficult than the huge 500 page novel and I am intrigued about how 11 new writers have tackled this genre 3. Having interacted with you briefly and as a follower of your blog , I know that the book will be just fab and want to read it 4. All of the above :)

  5. Aha, let it be my first book knocking at my door step with a signature from a published author.Let me read and get inspired. You never know you and your stories inspiring my lazy attitude to actually sit and write stories. Now, that doesn't mean competition but purely inspiration and motivation :p Oops, did that sound a bit cupid of me towards the book ;)

  6. Trying my best not to sound flattering, I basically want to read the book because you are one of the authors. And you being one, am sure the others are equally gracious at it.
So with a concept so distinct, and authors of a great level, who won't want to own a copy!
    :)

  7. So I want to read this book because of following
    * Crazy* reasons-
This book is a non- living source to read theliving words from an author whose story I recently read and I am craving to read from her.And also, from past few months a cover with3 words is beautifying my fb wall .It hovers on mind to the extent that now I am dying to look what's inside it.

    P.S- it looks better here:D

  8. I love your blog, your writings connect with me at an emotional level..some place very fundamental of my being. I always have this feeling while reading your posts, that these words are written for me to find and read...And again I like collections of short stories..a collections of so many voices of so many people- characters and authors- in one book...'Love stories that touched my heart', 'urban shots' series, 'Chicken Soup' series have been my favorite...

    1. Same pinch! And its a dream for me to feature someday in them too <3

      **fingers crossed**

I somehow feel given the decrease in attention span of readers short story anthologies are the way to reach them and grab their attention even if its for a short while only!
And yes dear thank you so much for all your love and support always, its truly overwhelming and touching :')

  9. First the happiness of seeing you published in unmatched :)

For me, short stories are the zen, the holy grail as they engage the reader in less number of words conveying much more in between the lines. And the span which is being covered in this book is so vast that each story promises to be a stellar so I am looking forward to 11 roller coaster rides :)

  10. Concept is surely innovative. 11 events and 11 different perspectives of it. I would like to read this book because of it's concept. I am book reviewer, blogger and an author too just like you and can feel the thrill of it. I always try to search for good concepts and I think that 'This is it!' Another thing is that, I love short stories. Writing a short story is itself a difficult task. You have to shape the characters, the event, the plot and everything within a limit of word count. CHALLENGE, I must say. I would love to read and review it.

    1. Definitely I agree. More than a contributing Author I loved this concept even as a reader and reviewer. The entire thing is so unique that it makes you want to read as to how have they interpreted the events and woven stories around them.

Short story for me this one will be special though I have written quite a few of them, for THIS was my first attempt which was okayed after like some 8 drafts and reattempts!

And yes even I am sure you would love it :D

  11. I would like to read it for the variety of styles and authors' interpretation of events during that decade. It sounds so intriguing! And, congrats on having your own story published there, too, Privy!
    Blessings!
