April Blogging Challenge - 8

H is for Holding On- Letting Go by Ross Copperman

Sometimes in lives, when you are badly looking for answers you get a signal from above through some magical angels. I found one such angel in a fellow blogger – Rachit almost a year back when one night I was up till 2 am thinking about my current situation.

I don’t know what exactly triggered that conversation that night but we began talking, sharing interests when all of a sudden Rachit sent this link to me, asking me to listen to it.

To be honest I am not a huge fan of English songs but something about that night told me it was not usual. I plugged into that song and from the first word till the end I was hooked. I was sobbing by the time it ended as unknowingly the singer (and Rachit if I may say) answered the dilemma I was in.

That day I learnt that sometimes in life we are left with only two options - Holding on or letting go and the most important thing is to know what to do at that moment.Sharing the touching lyrics of my favourite song with you:

Is anybody out there?
Is anybody listening?
Does anybody really know if its the end of the beginning?
The quiet rush of one breath
Is all we're waiting for
Sometimes the one we’re taking
Changes every one before..
[Chorus]
It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go
Sometimes we're holding angels
And we never even know
Don't know if we'll make it,
But we know,
We just can't let it show
[Chorus]
It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go
Yeah, we're letting go
It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go
[Chorus]
It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go.
It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go

  1. hmmm...It's similar to the saying, "When God closes a door, he opens a window".

  3. Holding on and letting go are both disturbing and calming at the same time. It is a serious chemical locha in the brain

    1. That exactly is the trick Pallavi. Knowing what to do and when out of the two :)
