Many times in life we reach a stage where we know things very well deep inside our hearts but we need some reassurance from someone else too. We need to hear it to believe it to be true and then act on it. You can heal your life by Louise Hay is one such book. It’s a beautiful reminder that we are the masters of our life and we can either make it or break it.

You have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless, but we're not. We always have the power of our minds…Claim and consciously use your power.”

Me thinks

This book was recommended to me by a very dear friend at a time when I was undergoing some emotional turbulence in my life. And this book came like a solution to all the problems I was facing.  It taught me that till now what I construed to be the main reason for my problems was actually an answer to them – my mind. It’s my mind who could actually help me face all the problems and get rid of them too.

With every page that I read about this book I came more and more closer to my real self. The bare me without any fear or inhibitions looked scary in the beginning but gradually as I accepted myself and began my healing there were new doors that opened before me. I could see the stringent walls that I had built around me crumbling down and in place of it I saw warmth and compassion take over. I saw my fears melt away and being replaced with new stronger beliefs. Reading this book was like undertaking a journey, a journey of knowing my own self and realizing a new me. The trouble is only till you accept yourself, after that everything else falls into place automatically. It is like unlocking a hidden treasure you did not know existed till now. Through this new year we can gift ourselves a gift – of knowing us in and out.

The author has used some very descriptive charts along with affirmations to provide solutions to the problems and it is really a touching experience to go through this. As you read you realize how foolish you had been till now as you kept on looking for solutions while actually it was very much there very well hidden inside you. The flow of the book is so wonderful that you feel as if you are gliding through the clouds as you read it with the simplicity of the language adding to its charm.

I would strongly recommend this book for one and all. At times in life we reach a crossroad where the only thing clear is confusion. This book works a like a compass at such times guiding you towards your destination.

This book is like Hershey’s HUGS and KISSES chocolates. The name itself gives a very cuddly feeling to you and as you begin eating it, it brings a smile on your face with the chocolate slowly melting in your mouth leaving a warm feeling with sweetness all around.

  1. Reading this blog made me cry. I just happened to look at your comment on a friend's blog and thought your blog would have some interesting reads. Little did I know that this blog would come to my rescue at my weakest moment. How hard I have tried to mask my pain with smiles and happy conversation but the hollow in my heart seems too deep to fill. My heart seems to be crumbling and I though I want someone to rescue my failing spirit, I also want to completely retreat till I run out of tears. Your review has given me a hope of liberating myself and finding a knew me. Will definitely pick the book and I can never thank you enough for silently helping me heal.

I understand all that you are saying and also that is left unsaid. Sending warm hugs to you. Like my favourite saying says If you are crying because the sun has set your tears wont let you see the twinkling stars :)

So flash your brightest smile and pick up this book. I am sure you will feel blessed to be alive after this.
